How to play Tiny Doodle Fishing
- Hold Cast (or Space) and watch the ring fill and empty. Let go near the top for a long cast: long casts reach rarer fish, and Legendary fish only bite on one.
- Wait for the float. Little nibbles are fakes; when it plunges and a red ! appears, tap Hook (or press Space) at once. Too early or too late and the fish is gone.
- Now the reel fight: hold Reel (or Space, or anywhere on the water) to lift the green zone and let go to drop it. Keep the fish inside the zone to fill the catch meter. Never let it out for a Perfect catch, worth double.
- Coins buy Rod (faster bites, more luck), Line (a bigger reel zone), Crew (anglers who fish for you, even while you are away) and Boat (longer trips away, a faster crew).
- Log five species in a water to open the next one for coins: Kelp Bay, Night Reef, Ice Shelf and The Trench pay far more, but their fish fight harder. Complete a water's 12 species for +10% fish value.
About this game
Tiny Doodle Fishing is an idle fishing game set on a wooden pier at dusk. Every fish you land is your own work: a hold-and-release cast whose power ring rewards timing, a hook window that shrinks for rarer and deeper fish, and a reel fight where you lift a green zone to keep a darting fish inside it. Common fish are a warm-up; Rare, Epic and Legendary fish dart, sink and zigzag faster than the zone can follow, so a Perfect catch is worth double. Sixty original fish, drawn in code as linocut prints, live in five waters: Pier Shallows, Kelp Bay, Night Reef, the Ice Shelf under an aurora, and The Trench. Each water pays seven times more than the last and opens once you have logged five species before it. Coins buy a better rod, line, boat and a crew of anglers who keep fishing on the pier, even while you are away, up to the length of your boat's trip. Draw your own lure: its main ink makes certain fish bite three times as often. Three daily goals, a streak and a Lucky lure bring you back each day. No energy, no timers to wait out and nothing to buy with real money.

Questions
Is Tiny Doodle Fishing free?
Yes. It is free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to download, no sign-up and nothing to buy.
How do I catch rare fish?
Cast long (let go near the top of the ring), upgrade your Rod for luck, and use a lure in the ink the fish likes: the Log shows which ink each Rare, Epic and Legendary fish prefers. Legendary fish only bite on a long cast of 80% or more.
Why does the fish keep getting away?
Rarer fish move faster and the green zone shrinks. Hold to lift the zone, let go to drop it, and start moving before the fish does. A better Line makes the zone bigger and the catch meter drain more slowly.
Do I earn coins while I am away?
Yes, once you hire Crew. Your crew keeps fishing at a share of its normal rate for up to 2 hours, or up to 12 hours with a fully upgraded Boat. The total is shown when you come back.
How do I open new waters?
Log five different species in the water before it, then pay the coins in Waters. Kelp Bay costs 300 coins, Night Reef 8,000, the Ice Shelf 80,000 and The Trench 2.5 million.
Can I play on a phone?
Yes, upright or sideways. One big button does everything: hold to cast, tap to hook, hold to reel. You can also hold anywhere on the water. Turn on Left-handed in the pause menu to move it to the left.
Is my progress saved?
Yes, in this browser. Your coins, gear, log and lure are kept, and if you reload in the middle of a cast or a fight, it comes back where you left it.
