Five tools
Pen, scissors, eraser, drill and hammer
Cub walks on his own. You solve every page with the right tool, and on the later pages the obvious tool is the trap.

Scissors: cut the page
NewCut the page. It falls.
Cub walks through a paper notebook on his own. Cut a piece right out of the paper: it falls, it weighs as much as its size, and it leaves a real hole through the page.
- Drop a cut-out piece in the lift basket and Cub goes up
- Round pieces roll; a hole is a trap or a way through
- Scissors also cut printed ink things

Snip ropes and threads
NewSnip the rope
A short snip cuts a rope or a thread without cutting out a piece. Whatever it held drops, swings or lets go.
- Snip the rope and the rock drops into the basket
- Ropes hold machines and gates until you cut them

Eraser: rub out the pencil
NewRub out the pencil
Some of the page is drawn in pencil, and pencil rubs out. Ink will not, so look before you rub: sometimes the pencil is what holds things up.
- Rub out a pencil wall and the ball rolls on
- Ink stays on the page

Drill the pins
NewDrill the pin
A hanging picture, clock or rock falls when every pin and thread holding it is gone. Drill the pins out, and draw a chute so it lands where you want.
- Drill on blank paper makes a round hole
- Pair it with the pen to steer the fall

Hammer it in place
NewNail it in place
Tap with the hammer to drive a nail into a loose thing: a plank, a cut piece, a machine part or a gate. It stays exactly where it is.
- Nail a loose plank so Cub can cross
- A nail holds a piece where you cut it

Weights and machines
Drop it. The seesaw throws.
Weights are numbers. Lifts, seesaws, scales, plates and gates always react the same way, so every page is a puzzle you can think through.
- The heavier side goes down
- Heavy things launch what sits on the other end
- Ink pieces weigh double
And more
Water, fire and a big notebook
Every chapter adds a new twist. Every page has three stars: get Cub home, use no more ink than par, and find the map piece.

Thin pages
On thin paper your ink soaks through to the back, mirrored. Pencil stays on its own side, and holes go through both.

Water
Rafts, dams and rising floods. Hollow pieces float and carry half their size.

Fire and bookworms
Fire takes its time and burns ropes and pencil when it gets there. Bookworms eat your counterweights.
- PenDraw bridges, ramps and chutes. Ink stays on the page.
- Retry keeps your drawingTry again without drawing it all over, and undo anything.
- A free hint every dayStuck on a page? A hint shows a way to Cub's den.
- 8 outfits for CubEarn them with your stars.
8 chapters, each one with a secret page
- Forest EdgeLines hold Cub up. The scissors cut a piece out of the page: it falls and weighs its size.
- CliffsRocks fall, so tap to jump. A seesaw throws what sits on its other end. Pencil rubs out, ink doesn't.
- QuarryLifts and scales: the heavier side goes down. Snip a rope or drill a pin, and what it held drops in.
- RiverHollow shapes float and carry half their size. Ink pieces weigh double, and a nail holds a piece where you cut it.
- CaveThin pages: ink soaks through, mirrored; pencil stays on its own side. Holes go through both.
- VolcanoFire takes its time: it burns ropes and pencil when it gets there. Hot air lifts hollow things.
- Old LibraryRopes, pins and pencil bolts hold machines and gates. Worms eat counterweights; carbon copies ink, not pencil.
- BinderyFive tools, every rule. The obvious tool is the trap. Cub's hat is close.

Questions
When can I play it?
Doodle Cub: Physics Puzzle is being tested and is coming soon to the App Store for iPhone and iPad.
Is it the same as the Through the Page game on the website?
No. This is a new physics puzzle for iPhone and iPad. It started as the mirror-drawing game Through the Page, and the thin paper that your ink soaks through is still part of it.
What do the five tools do?
The pen draws lines Cub can walk on. The scissors cut a piece out of the page, which falls and weighs as much as its size, and snip ropes and threads. The eraser rubs out pencil (ink stays). The drill takes out pins so a hanging thing falls, and the hammer nails a loose thing in place.
Does it need the internet?
No. The whole game plays offline.
Is it free? Are there ads?
It is free to download, and chapters 1 to 4 are free. Short ads can show between pages, never while you play. The Full Sketchbook unlocks chapters 5 to 8 and their secret pages and removes the ads, with no subscription. The price for your country is shown in the app before you buy.
How do hints work?
Everyone starts with 3 hints and gets 1 free hint a day. The Full Sketchbook gives unlimited hints, and hint packs add more.
Will my progress move to a new phone?
Progress is saved on the device only. Your Game Center scores and achievements follow your Game Center account, and the Full Sketchbook comes back with Restore Purchases.
