Block Doodle

How to play Block Doodle

  1. Drag one of the three pieces under the board onto an empty spot. Each block you place scores 1 point.
  2. Fill a whole row or column to clear it. Clearing n lines at once scores 10 x n x n, so two lines give 40 and three give 90.
  3. Clear on placement after placement to build a combo that multiplies every clear. The combo breaks after three placements in a row without a clear.
  4. When all three pieces are down you get three new ones. Every 5 lines cleared earns a Scribble (up to 3): use it to erase one block when nothing fits.
  5. The run ends when no piece fits and you have no Scribble left. Empty the whole board for a 300 point bonus.

About this game

Block Doodle is an 8x8 block puzzle with a marker-on-concrete look. There are no falling pieces and no timer: three pieces wait under the board, you drag each one into place, and full rows and columns clear. Clearing several lines at once scores far more than clearing them one by one, and clearing on consecutive placements builds a combo with no cap. Classic is endless and gets harder as you go, with heavier pieces after the warm-up. The Daily deals the same 30 pieces to everyone each day and keeps a week of your scores. Puzzles has 60 levels in four sets: clear every X on the board within a piece limit and earn up to three stars. Higher best scores unlock four more board themes, and a reload brings your board back paused.

Questions

Is Block Doodle free?

Yes. It is free to play in your browser, with nothing to download and no sign-up.

How does scoring work?

Each block you place is worth 1 point. Clearing lines scores 10 x n x n for n lines at once, times your combo. Emptying the whole board adds 300.

What is a Scribble?

Every 5 lines you clear earns one Scribble, up to three. Tap the pen, then scribble over any block to erase it. It is the way out when no piece fits. Puzzles do not use Scribbles.

How do I unlock themes and puzzle sets?

Themes unlock with your best Classic score: Chalk at 2,000, Neon Tube at 5,000, Blueprint at 10,000 and Gold Leaf at 25,000. Puzzle set 2 opens at 20 stars, set 3 at 45 and set 4 at 75.

Is the Daily the same for everyone?

Yes. Each day uses one fixed sequence of 30 pieces for every player. Your best score for each day is kept, and the menu shows your last 7 days.

What happens if I reload the page?

Your board comes back paused in the same tab. Best scores, stars, themes and settings are saved in this browser.
