Color Picker privacy policy

This policy covers the Color Picker app for iPhone and iPad.

Who we are

Color Picker is made by DOODLECUB (“we”) under the Doodle Cub name. Contact: [email protected].

What the app collects and uses

Color Picker is a tool for painters, illustrators and designers. It is not directed at children under 13. It works without an account and uses:

  • Camera and Photos: only after iOS asks you, to pick colors. Photos and camera images are processed on the device and are not uploaded. Saving to Photos adds a picture or video to your library.
  • Saved colors on the device: Colors, palettes and gradients you save are stored on the device and, when the device is signed in to iCloud, in your private iCloud account.
  • Color lookups: To show a color’s details, AI analysis, palettes and wallpapers, the app sends the color code (such as #C19674) to pixeliro.com. It does not send your photos.
  • Firebase: (Google): Analytics to count which tools are used, Remote Config, anonymous sign-in, a database for promo codes, and Cloud Messaging if you allow notifications.
  • Google AdMob: shows ads to users without Pro. Ads are personalised only if you allow tracking when iOS asks; in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you see a consent message first.
  • Master Palettes: loads public-domain paintings from the Art Institute of Chicago, and the built-in browser opens third-party websites that have their own privacy policies.
  • Apple In-App Purchase: for Pro. Apple handles payment; we never see your card details or your Apple ID.

Children

Color Picker is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to [email protected] and we will delete it.

Your choices and rights

  • Turn off the camera, Photos access, notifications or tracking in the device’s Settings app at any time.
  • Delete the app to remove what it saved on the device.
  • We never sell personal information.
  • Ask us to access or delete information about you by writing to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
